JUMPING
RING 1                                     START 10.00am

Class   42 Beginners 14.2hh and under. An ideal class for young riders, or for a pony
              or rider needing confidence. Riders excluded from classes 44 - 45
Class   43 Novice 14.2hh and under
Class   44 Internediate 14.2hh and under
Class   45 14.2 and under
Class   46 Beginners exc 14.2hh. All riders excluded from classes 48 - 49
Class   47 Novice exc 14.2hh
Class   48 Internediate exc 14.2hh
Class   49 Exc 14.2hh

All jumping classes are for points, therefore competitors stay in their classes all season.

NOTE - Beginners are not to have won an annual trophy for any jumping class at K.R.C.

            Novices - are not to have won a first Showjumping rosette anywhere, except in
            beginners classes.

ENTRY DETAILS - To qualify for a trophy rider/horse combination to have competed in
            each class a minimum of 2 times.
            Entry for the day is £15.00. This entitles a horse and rider combination to :
                            *Either one Style and Appearance or most appealing.
                            *One jumping class
                            *Three games or Chase Me Charlie
                            *One Working Hunter or Sport Horse
                            *One Handy Pony
                            *One In Hand
Additional classes can be entered at the full rate.

Points system : 1st - 4 points, 2nd - 3 points, 3rd - 2 points, 4th - 1 point.

Lead reiners allowed in Classes - 1,5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 16, 19, 20, 23, 24, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34.

                                                AGE GROUPS
Lead Rein - Not to have attained 10th birthday on January 1st or 6th birthday on January 1st.
                                      All ages as on January 1st.
                Juniors - Not to have attained their 16th birthday on January 1st.    
                                        Seniors - 17years and over.
              Lead Rein S/J - Pony 13.2hh or under - Rider 10 years or under.
                First Ridden - Pony 13.2hh or under - Rider 11 years or under.
Beginners Jumping. This is a confidence building class for genuine horse/rider requirements.
                      Cradle Stakes - 13hh or under - Rider 10 years or under.
CLUB RULES
1.   The committee will not accept any responsibility for any accident or damage to property. Also members cross the middle lane, between showgrounds at their own risk.
2.   Correct riding dress must be worn by all competitors.
3.   Any person found ill-treating any animal will be banned from future shows.
4.   No pony under 3 years old can compete in any class, except for In Hand.
5.   The committee reserve the right to measure any pony, unless issued with a height certificate.
6.   Stallions are allowed on the showground, as long as they are kept under control.
7.   All ponies that kick must wear a red ribbon in tail.
8.   The Committee reserve the right to change the programme in any way.
9.   All objections to be lodged with the Secretary by a member accompanied by £10, within 30 minutes of the event in question.
10. No unauthorised person to be allowed into the ring without permission from the officials.
11. Members may compete non-competitive at the ring stewards discretion, entries however must be paid for at the full rate (competitors may not compete in later classes).
12. All leaders of entrants in Lead Rein classes must have attained their 12th Birthday.
13. All riders must wear secure hats while mounted. Including fancy dress classes.
14. All dogs must be kept on leads at all times.
15. The decision of the Judge is final in all aspects.
16. No refund of entry fee will be made.
17. Competitors must attend four shows to qualify for trophies.
18. In hot weather jackets and ties may only be removed on instruction from the judges in that ring.
19. Lead Rein ponies are not to exceed 12.2hh.
20. No spurs allowed in games. Spurs are allowed in Showjumping classes.
21. Games: All riders must wear riding boots and jodphurs. No trainers, muckers etc. allowed.
22. The Committee reserves the right to refuse entry to any class.
NOTE
Although we do our best to prevent clashes between classes, this is sometimes unavoidable.
If this happens please let the judges know A.S.A.P. so that a decision can be made. Thank you.

I would lke to take this opportunity to wish all our members success for the coming season at Kirkby
Riding Club and other events. May I also express my thanks to all those involved in the running of
the club especially the judges who have taken time out from their already busy schedules.
